Comfort Heritage Foundation Tour of Homes – April 18, 2009

The Comfort Heritage Foundation is hosting a tour of six Comfort Homes on Saturday April 18, 2009 from 12 Noon to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person on the Day of the Tour (CHR Historic Comfort State Bank Building) at the corner of High & 7th Street.

This Weekend in Comfort – Volunteer Fire Dept. Fundraiser – October 18, 2008

Come out Saturday, October 18th, and support the Comfort Volunteer Fire Department. Events include:

Shotgun Golf Tournament starting at 9 am at the Buckhorn Golf Course.

Barbeque Dinner starting at 11 am at the Comfort Fire Station (224 W. Hwy 473, behind Super S). To-Go- Plates are also available only by donation.

The Raffle Drawing will be held at 2 pm at the Fire Station. Drawing includes: One guided exotic deer hunt, 3 hunting rifles, Sweeny deer feeder, 500 lbs. deer corn, bbq pit & smoker. Need not be present to win.

BENEFIT AUCTION FOR CONSTABLE ROBBIE PANKRATZ – COMFORT, TEXAS – SUNDAY SEPT. 28TH

Locals will have another opportunity this weekend to contribute to the needs of one of its own, local Constable, Robbie Pankratz. A Benefit Auction is being held this Sunday in order to raise funds for Robbie who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in April. He underwent surgery and radiation treatments and has now returned to work part time.

This event is a BYOB event and will feature live music, barbecue, auctions and raffles. It will run from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Comfort Park on Hwy 27 in Comfort.

Let’s dig deep and support Robbie!

A TASTE OF COMFORT – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH

This year’s “A Taste of Comfort” is Saturday, September 27th. Here’s the details:

Taste of Comfort is sponsored each year by the Comfort Public Library. Local eateries and wineries are spotlighted.

This year’s participating restaurants are: :

Participating Wineries include:

Over 30 artists have contributed artwork for this fundraiser. Some will be sold through the Silent Auction; others will be auctioned off live. Samplings from the individual restaurants and wineries will be served between 5-6p.m. During this time, guests will be able to preview and bid on the Silent Auction items. The Silent Auction closes at 7:00 p.m. The Live Auction begins at 7:10 p.m.

A $5,000 prepaid gift card will also be raffled off at the end of the evening.

Location: Comfort Park on Hwy 27, starting at 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $10 for individual tickets sold at the Library or at the door.

Come and enjoy “Comfort’s Finest.” It’s a lot of fun and a great time to get to know your Comfort neigbors while raising money for the local Library. For more informantion, call 830-995-2398.
