COMFORT SPRING MARKET DAY & GOSPELFEST – MARCH 27TH

Come to the Town of Comfort to celebrate the Spring Market Day & Gospel Fest on Saturday March 27th at Comfort Park on Texas Highway 27 off I-10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Barbecue and beverages will be available for purchase.
On Sale will be: Arts & Crafts, clothing and accessories, home decor, garden items, jewelry, etc.
Family activites include: Face painting, bouncing for the kids, and an antique tractor display.
Gospel artists include: Fiddle Chick & A Picker, Dale Friedrich & Jesus Train. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the music.
Plus, local authors will be available for book signings.

ANNUAL BOERNE OPTIMIST ANTIQUE SHOW – FEB 27-28

The 30th Annual Hill Country Antiques Show will be held in Boerne at the Kendall County Fairgrounds Saturday Feb 27 and Sunday Feb 28. Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults (good for the entire weekend). Children under 12 are free. Parking is free. SET ASIDE SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 28TH TO BE AT CHRISTMAS IN COMFORT

Thanksgiving is just around the corner … so be sure and set aside the Saturday after Thanksgiving to be at CHRISTMAS IN COMFORT.
About 15,000 people are expected to visit Comfort, Texas for its 23rd annual CHRISTMAS IN COMFORT event which is being held on Saturday, November 28th from 10 a.m – 9 p.m.
High Street and 7th Street are lined with over 150 booths with arts and crafts, gift items, food and fun. Live music is played all day long. Also, for the kids, Santa will be present for pictures and there will be a petting zoo. LAST BUT NOT LEAST, Comfort’s spectacular evening parade.
Stay tuned for more details … but be sure and set aside the date. The whole day is a blast and the parade is something you DEFINITELY won’t want to miss!

Fall Comfort Antique Show – Comfort Park – October 17 & 18

Don’t miss the 23rd Annual Comfort Village Antiques Show this weekend at Comfort Park on Hwy 27 (Rain or Shine). Hours of operation are:
Saturday – October 17, 2008 – 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday – October 18, 2008 – 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Admission is $5.00 per person. Good for both days. Children under 12 are free.

A TASTE OF COMFORT – SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 26, 2009

This year’s “A Taste of Comfort” is Saturday, September 26th. Here’s the details:
Taste of Comfort is sponsored each year by the Comfort Public Library. Local eateries and wineries are spotlighted.
Many local artists have contributed artwork for this fundraiser. Some will be sold through the Silent Auction; others will be auctioned off live. Samplings from the individual restaurants and wineries will be served between 5-6p.m. During this time, guests will be able to preview and bid on the Silent Auction items. The Silent Auction closes at 7:00 p.m. The Live Auction begins at 7:10 p.m.
A $5,000 prepaid gift card will also be raffled off at the end of the evening.
Location: Comfort Park on Hwy 27, starting at 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $10 for individual tickets sold at the Library or at the door.
Come and enjoy “Comfort’s Finest.” It’s a lot of fun and a great time to get to know your Comfort neigbors while raising money for the local Library. For more informantion, call Patty Miles, 830-995-2398.

GUITAR PICKERS UNITE IN LUCKENBACH, TEXAS FOR RECORD BREAKING FUN – AUGUST 23, 2009

1,859 official pickers attended a gathering at Luckenbach, Texas on August 23, 2009 to break the world record for the Largest Gathering of Guitar Players. The song played? … “Let’s go to Luckenbach, Texas.”
The event raised money for our troops coming home, with emphasis on those having suffered Traumatic Brain Injuries while in combat. Check out VoicesofAGratefulNation.org for more information.
